Wilkshire Early Childhood Center: Early Childhood - 1st grade

Located on Academic Way, Wilkshire Early Childhood Center houses all of Haslett's pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first-grade children. Wilkshire’s curriculum is developmentally tailored to meet the needs of young children, and the staff is committed to laying a strong foundation for learning. We also partner with Michigan State University to offer preschool programs for children ages 3-5, including HeadStart, the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), and tuition-based programs.

At Wilkshire Early Childhood Center, everyone is expected to follow the three rules of our Teamwork Triangle. In the spirit of these rules, we ask all visitors to help us maintain a respectful learning environment:

  • ✔ Park in a designated area
  • ✔ Sign in at the office and wear a Visitor ID badge
  • ✔ Turn off and discontinue use of cell phones
  • ✔ Sign your child out when they leave the building with you
